ADHD Assessment
In order to assess for ADHD, a comprehensive assessment will provide the parents and young adults with the most reliable results. Information is gathered via direct assessment (i.e., cognitive assessment, processing measures, etc.), behavior checklists completed by teachers, parents and/or the child (if old enough) and a thorough clinical interview to gather information about the child’s development, birth, medical and school history, genetic predispositions and behavioral and academic functioning. When completed the parents will meet with the examiner to review the findings along with the specific recommendations for the home and school.
